Being ill sucks. It really does.

I hate Bert, Karla and all their friends who came to me without permission. Today Bert and Karla invited Hanne and Schorschi, and in the evening Elli showed up, too. Great. Seems like these 5 are having a blast while I really should do some work related stuff.

Only good thing about being ill: I lost 3kg in one week. Why? Simple answer: I sleep half of the day, so there's no time to eat.

So today I was finally able to finish the Ari figure.
I painted the name on the jersey and made some correctures.

I just finished the golden colored lines on the jersey and the socks. I'm not that satisfied with the lines on the socks, will try to make them finer when the paint has dried.
I also painted Ari's number on the jersey. Tried her name as well, but had to wipe it off as my letters were too big. So I'll try again later.

Today I painted the torso, the arms and the socks again in red to cover the scratches I did when I sandpapered the pieces before.

Btw: That's how our dining table looks like at the moment. You see, I found a new use for all the old X-Files books, for Hank Moody's literature and also for my German - Danish dictionary ;D

After some hours I was able to paint the black stripes the jersey has on it. I also painted the black border of the socks.

Now I have to wait for another 6 hours until I can paint the yet missing golden stripes on the jersey. Until then I'll figure out a way how to put the symbol of the German soccer association "DFB" on the jersey and on the shorts.
Maybe I'll be able to post more new pix later this day.

And tomorrow I should be able to present you my first finished redesigned playmobil figure :-)

I had this idea of building a playmobil figure looking like Ariane Hingst in mind for a few weeks and today I was finally able to start with it.
Biggest problem was to rebuild the playmobil figures I needed for that. You need to "decapitate" the figures. We tried some ways and after breaking a leg and scratching a figure's head, I tried the bench vise. And what can I say? It worked perfectly.

Then I prepared the table, put the pictures of the jersey and shorts on it, placed the colours I would need and the brushes.

First step: slightly sandpaper the parts you want to paint.
Second step: clean the figure.
Third step: Paint the parts you need to recolour.

Done that? Then you need to wait for 6 hours until the paint has dried. Then you need to repaint all the parts.
So since I finished step 3 I need to wait 6 more hours until I can work on. And since it's already half past ten pm I won't be able to work on today.

time flies

Today it's been one month.
Last month at this time we went down to the bar of the hotel and ordered sth. to eat after a very stressful first day of the x-con.
Wow. One month.
When I think about it, the con seems so far away, not only a month. Wow.
I want to turn back time. I want to be back there, at the con. With FWM and Sgiath. And the boys. And all the other crazy philes!
Please, can anyone turn back time? Pleeeaaasseee??
Just for one night?

went buying a pizza, came home with a new pair of Chucks

Yer, after I got pierced twice on Saturday (and let me tell you, that I love my two new piercings sooo much and that I can't wait to get the next new one) I went to a supermarket to buy me a frozen pizza. I was very hungry and I knew that I wouldn't be able to eat something before it was probably midnight cause I had so much work to do. In the end I went to bed at 4:30am.
Anyway I went to that supermarket and got the pizza I wanted, went for some curly peanuts snacks and then I was on my way to the checkout when I saw them. It was love at first sight!
So I really couldn't resist!

Last Tuseday jb and me went to a reading cause Katja Riemann, a German actress.
We had great seats in row 4 and had lots of fun. The reading was great.
Afterwards I was able to get a picture with Katja Riemann... And that woman is just awesome!
